Becki Newton

Becki is the daughter of a Connecticut native. At the age of 13 when she started performing in local shows, such as summer stock and community theater. She was a student of European History at the University of Pennsylvania, during which time she spent several months in Europe. Becki relocated to NYC immediately after graduation in order to pursue Broadway. After appearing in dozens of national commercials as well as guest star roles, including Cold Case (2003), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), as well as American Dreams (2002), she was cast as Amanda in Ugly Betty (2006). The couple is Chris Diamantopoulos and has a brother named Matt Newton. When I think of the beautiful women I think of I think of supermodels, but they're not. I'm fortunate to leave it to the pros in the workplace and at red-carpet occasions and red-carpet events, as I don't think that I'm an expert. Yet, I don't hesitate to take risks with regards to beauty. It's a pleasure to be glamorous! It's fun to dress up! does not mean that I'm apprehensive but rather taking care of myself.
