Rene Marie Russo, an American actress and filmmaker who was a former supermodel is a film director. She is known for her beautiful beauty and her longevity in the highly competitive film industry reflects her talent and skills as an actor. When she was a model in her early years, she began her career in the 1970s. She quickly became prominent within the world of modeling. Then, in the mid 1990s she started studying theatre and acting. In the following years, she moved to Los Angeles and California she made her first stage appearances. Her first screen appearance was in ABCs 1987 drama Sable, where she played Eden Kendell. Two years later, she was Tom Berengers lover in Major League. The critics were initially skeptical about her talent as an actor however her steady performance won them over. She was praised for her role on Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak, where she was competing with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. But, as per her own words she was never passionate about the acting. The actress took a self-imposed break in 2005. For the film Thor it was her return to her acting. She also starred in Nightcrawler which was her husband's Oscar Award-winning film. The Intern was her first light-hearted comedy. She went on to make appearances in Just Getting Started and other comedies.
Rose Namajunas has been one of UFC's most prominent female athletes. Her professional journey began as an amateur athlete performing various regional competitions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. And after that, she signed with Ultimate Fighting Championships. She has gained a lot of fame since joining the UFC because of her on and off the octagon's success. Namajunas's family are Lithuanian as was her birthplace in Lithuania on the 29th June, 1992. Rose played basketball and kickboxing while growing up. When she was 18 years old, she had her first professional fight at Invicta Fighting Championships in which she took two wins via submission. It caught the attention to Dana White who signed her to be a part of the UFC the strawweight division at the age of 22 years old. Rose's career has seen both lows and highs and she's in a position to emerge from the fight with a win. Rose took on Carla Esparza in April 2015 for the Women's Strawweight Championship. The fight was won by technical knockout within 3 minutes of the first round. It was the first ever time a woman competed to win a title in any of the major promotions in the world. Namajunas was victorious in several bouts after this one, and received the title of Performance Of The Night by UFC in her fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
